"Disappointing Support... Time to Move On from LabJack After 15 Years!"
Upon discovering that LabJack has chosen to stop making products we’ve relied on for years, I reached out to their customer service to see if we could get a bulk discount because of the extra expenses we’ll face in creating a new solution. Not only did their support team refuse to lend a hand, but I was also told we were 'lucky' that they didn’t hike up the prices on the discontinued products by 40%!
Having been a LabJack customer for nearly 15 years, I’m really let down by their apparent disinterest in helping loyal customers. It’s high time we look for alternatives.

"My Experience as a New Labjack User"
As a newbie to Labjack, I dove into my first datalogging project, which involved using the SD card for logging temperature and voltage data. Initially, I found the documentation a tad confusing when it came to accessing the SD card. Thankfully, customer support came through and provided me with the SD card utility to retrieve the logged data, which was super helpful.
I found the lua scripting language pretty straightforward for setting up the voltage and temperature logging.
However, I did notice an occasional 'hardware' failure message when the unit is hooked up to Kipling. According to the documentation, there's an ADC test that runs when the unit powers up. It seems like this error pops up about half the time, so I'm not entirely sure if it's a genuine issue or just a glitch. I guess I’ll have to log some actual data to figure out how well the unit really works.
